| Harriet, for just a moment, was a little sad that she couldn't jump into the water. But that was quickly forgotten as Serana proposed a game. "Ooh, yes yes yes! I bet I can throw the rocks really far! Watch!" Harriet bounded over to a nearby pebble and, like Serana, threw it as far as she could. The distance itself was far from impressive, but Harriet still seemed proud of herself. "See? I told you I could throw it far! That was really good, wasn't it? Wasn't it?"
The other wolf had spoken, and Harriet was beaming from ear to ear. "Ooh, rabbit hunt! I wanna go! I wanna go! I'm really good at hunting! I promise! I'll be really good!" |

McKenna wanted to find someone, anyone really! He had been wandering for nearly a week since leaving his family, and had yet to find anyone else. Then again, he was travelling through lands that were mostly covered in rocks, and that didn't make for very good hunting. What it did give him was fulfilment, inquisitive eyes looking over the smaller, more compact plants that made themselves at home within the crevices. He doubted any would be very good for healing, and he wasn't dumb enough to try eating random plants all alone with the chance of being poisoned. The scents of many wolves buffeted into his pale nose on a harsh wind shoved up from the cliffs. With a tail wagging merrily behind him, McKenna quickly swapped his focus over to seeing who these wolves could be. As he drew closer, he counted six there, but their scents hadn't had the chance to mingle long as a pack's would. He assumed they were all rogues, like him. How lucky! A fresh start! If only the butterflies in his stomach would go away. He hadn't really needed to approach any new faces before and despite the cheerful conversation seemingly bubbling from the group, he what they might think of another joining. As he drew closer still, ponderings of a rabbit hunt caught his ear. He had hunted rabbits before! Maybe he could help? Piping up in a shy voice, the young male yipped, "I'd like to help too... if you're okay with that! My name's McKenna!! I'm a bit better with herbs than hunting but I'm sure I could make myself useful!" Perhaps oversharing his strengths wasn't the best way to introduce himself to a group of strangers, but he felt that was pertinent information for any new friends to know! Swinging his cranberry gaze around the rest of the group, his eyes fell onto a young wolf, younger even than himself, who also had a pink nose. His tail wagging even faster now, he said to her, "Hey, you're pink too! I've never met anyone else who had a pink nose!" He wanted to be friends with these wolves, but he wasn't really sure how to go about that without showing his hand and putting his best foot forwards. @noble Zuko Serana @saffron Maeve Harriet

Roll 1: unsuccessful hunt 1-10, successful hunt 11-20 (20) Roll 2: How many rabbits go boo: half whatever rolls (8) Roll 3: How many foo foos are thicc: an eighth of whatever rolls (cuz there are only 4 buns) (2) Roll 4: Does Noble catch a foo foo?: 1-5 yes, 6-10 no, 11-15 yes, 16-20 no (9)
After two of the rogues that were currently present nominated themselves to hunt some foo foos, another rogue, this one a newer arrival also volunteered to nab a bunny. At this rate they might have to rob a few burrows. Noble’s bestie hadn’t yet said anything in reply, though knowing him, if he had something to say to Noble he would certainly make sure it got to him one way or another. Walking over closer to the burrows he had seen, Noble beckoned the rogues that wanted to hunt the small furry mammals to follow him. As he was still small enough to crawl quite fast through the burrows without getting stuck. Doing so he ended up chasing out 4 rabbits, 2 of which were quite healthy and plump. Those two wouldn’t be able to run as fast, and he could grab one of them if he ran fast enough after emerging from the other end of the tunnel. Running with a new burst of speed out of the burrow Noble went after one of the rabbits. It zigzagged too fervently for him to get a chance to get a grasp at it, so instead he chased it towards Zuko, who could hopefully snatch it before it could switch directions again. The rest of the rabbits had scattered as well, and Noble just left the rest of the rogues to chase the remaining ones. Hopefully they would have better luck tricking the small things then he did. @saffron Harriet McKenna Zuko

Does Harriet catch a bunny wabbit?: 1-5 yes, 6-10 no, 11-15 yes, 16-20 no (2) 243 Words @noble , Zuko ,@saffron , McKenna notes: Translation: Look! I caught it! Did you see? I caught it! I really caught it! I told you! | Harriet turned to McKenna as the other wolf approached her, pointing out her pink nose. "Oh yeah! That's so cool! It's like we could totally be siblings! I mean, we're not, but we totally could be! I'm Harriet, by the way! But you can call me Hare, because I'm fast! Just like a hare!"
Noble had signaled to follow, and Harriet, waving her tail to McKenna, bounded after him, watching as he chased a bunch of rabbits out of their burrow. Two of them looked really yummy, and since Noble and Zuko seemed to be heading for one of the plump ones, Harriet veered to the side, chasing down the other. Her tongue lolled out as she ran, and the young wolfdog was laughing the entire time she was chasing the rodent down. This was so much fun! She wanted to do this so much more!
True to what she had told the others, Harriet actually was pretty fast. And determined. She was on that rabbit's tail, and eventually, that rabbit was in her mouth. Her breath was coming out in pants around the furry creature, but her tail was wagging fervently behind her. She had actually caught it! She was so excited!
"Wooph. I paught it! Bib you fee? I paught it! I weally paught it! I pold you!" Harriet was so thrilled at her success. Then again, she got excited about a lot of things, but she was extra excited about this! |

Noble seemed to catch onto his thoughts when it came to pushing others from cliffs and he gave a roll of his eyes at Noble’s words. “Of course not, why would I ever do that?” He sarcastically bit as he looked towards his companion. Of course Noble wouldn’t want to see death, Zuko wouldn’t either. But if it came down to it and they needed to escape should any of them be against wolf-dogs, Zuko would do anything to protect himself and his friend. Noble was quick to speak of hunting. Meals were always a good way to socialize. Everyone was happy during meal time in their old pack and was certain that he would find himself with a stomach full. Of course, he did not say anything to Noble, instead opting to listen to the others as they started to chime in. Three of them were eager to help Noble with his hunt, and so Zuko figured that he wouldn’t need to help. And this was a good way for Noble to work with the others and get to know them. Giving a small sigh, he settled down, making himself stand out less as the chocolate male watched them all hunt. He wasn’t sure what to honestly think of their predicament. Where were they to go should they need to find a home for the winter? They were both young and needed to solidify themselves in a group. Scanning, he watched as Harriet was able to grab onto a rabbit and Zuko waited for the others to as well. Noble seemed to be struggling with this and so Zuko aimed to help. But the first one was too quick and was able to get away from him. Turning, he quickly chased after one of the other ones, trying to make up for the fact that he had missed. Pushing himself as much as possible, he grabbed onto the rabbits neck, tumbling forward at the loss of momentum as he snapped its neck. Bringing it back to Noble, he dropped it at his feet. “You can have this one,” He told him, knowing that he would probably go without food for right now. But that was okay, so long as Noble was taken care of. @noble @saffron Harriet McKenna

Will McKenna Catch A Rabbit heck yea rolled a 16 "Oh yeah! That's so cool! It's like we could totally be siblings! I mean, we're not, but we totally could be! I'm Harriet, by the way! But you can call me Hare, because I'm fast! Just like a hare!" The bright personality of the other pink-nosed wolf coaxed McKenna a bit further out of his shell. She sure was confident!! And clearly all of the other wolves around were happy to be around her so maybe he could be that bright if he wanted to! A few of the others started their hunts, leaving the chocolate male slightly lost. Hunting wasn't his best skill, and the fear of plummeting off of the nearby cliff didn't help his desire to hunt small, fast prey. Cranberry eyes took the opportunity to finally take a look at all of the other rogues. Maybe... maybe that was something he should have done befoooore introducing himself. Oh well! It seemed that two of them were really really young. Like wow, they really should have somewhere safe to call home! And they seemed a bit different than he had ever seen before... but they were clearly pretty cool! Maybe they did have a pack to go home to and they were just out on a little hunt and stumbled upon a whole group of new friends! That would be such good luck! The others, three lighter-coloured she-wolves, hadn't said their names while McKenna was in earshot, or really reacted at all so far, but maybe they were surprised by the sudden arrival of someone else with a pink nose! It would be pretty shocking. Remembering with a jolt that he was supposed to be helping these wolves hunt, McKenna shot to attention and tried to find the sprinting creatures that had been scared off already. Bouncing towards one of the large tufts of grass that one of the youngest wolves had pointed out, McKenna introduced his nose just a smidge too hard into the ground. Wincing in pain as he readjusted his aim to actually sniff inside the burrow to see if a rabbit was actually hiding in there, the strong scent of one smacked him almost as hard as the rocky ground. He was far too big to try and climb in after it like the younger was doing out of the corner of his eye. McKenna settled on the strategy of releasing a mmmmmighty growl into the den, hoping it would scare the little rabbit out the other side. Rustling from another nearby cluster of thin grasses caught his ears and the young male leaped around to spot the little white cotton tail bounding over the terrain. Clumsy paws almost tripping in their bid to be socially acceptable while also very very excited, McKenna bounded after the small rabbit. Luckily, it was headed away from the cliff face he knew well. If it was trying to lure him over a hidden ledge he hadn't seen yet he didn't know, but he assumed the best that his future meal was going to be sprinting over solid ground and not be a secret mastermind. He managed to splat a paw down where the rabbit was just moments before, clipping it and sending it off balance. Lunging towards it, McKenna quickly snapped his jaws around its neck, ending their sprint quickly and he hoped as painlessly as possible for the little rabbit. When he gathered herbs, he was careful to do it responsibly. Granny had taught him to always leave a healthy amount, and to only take what was needed so that the plant could provide for the coming seasons. Applying that philosophy to catching prey was much harder because he couldn't just take the leg off a deer without dooming it. Nevertheless, he pushed the thoughts of his old pack aside and gathered his kill and trotted back to where the group was. Harriet's exclamation, whatever it was behind all that fur, caused McKenna's tail to start right back up, wagging merrily behind him. He saw one of the younger pair give the rabbit he had caught over to his friend, and figured he must be hungry if he hadn't eaten anything for as long as McKenna hadn't. Dropping the rabbit close to the other male, McKenna barked, "We can share this one! I-if you'd like... So you aren't hungry!" Zuko Harriet @noble @saffron Maeve Serana

For a second hunt, cuz Noble’s a considerate boi:
How many rabbits go vroom: 3 Can Noble catch one of the bun buns: 16
1-5 yes, 6-10 no, 11-15 yes. 16-20 no
Poor dude just trying to help, can’t even grab a rabbit for someone else.
Can Noble recover and still catch a rabbit? 14
1-5 yes, 6-10 no, 11-15 yes, 16-20 no
Gonna be a nice boi, this one After Harriet, who had caught her own rabbit, which happened to be one of the more well fed ones, Zuko chased after the bunny as soon as he spotted Noble steering it towards him. Not able to grab it in time before it darted off towards the other wolves that still resided over by the cliffside. God the scary still freshly made memories that came along with that cliff would probably stick with him forever. Changing directions and heading for a rabbit that did end up being too slow for its own life’s sake. Zuko had dropped the rabbit in front of Noble, who knew exactly what he was doing. It was something the two of them did rather frequently with each other, and apparently it was Zuko’s turn to care for Noble before himself this time. McKenna had also snatched up a rabbit, which tallied the little hunting group at 3 rabbits with five participants. That certainly wouldn’t feed all of them well enough for them to go on their separate ways full enough until the next time they happened to grab a meal. McKenna’s gesture towards Zuko did not go unnoticed by Noble one bit. If anything, it only made the wolfdog more determined to return the favor. With a grateful nod to McKenna for his offer of a meal, and a gesture that only Zuko would understand as a que of thanks and one of an unspoken question, ‘Round two?’The goal this time was to once again, stir the rabbits from a burrow, driving them in the general direction of those that still hadn’t yet gotten themselves a meal, or offered theirs up. Heading in the cardinal direction that was North, which was also the way that the wind blew the scent of still lingering rabbits, he trotted his way quietly over to the next bunny occupied burrow. One would be able to tell where rabbits resided by listening to the rustling of their bodies in the tunnels they made homes in. They could also tell as they got closer the distinct warning thumps the small creatures would make with their hind feet, in an attempt to scare away the predator while also letting out a call to other nearby rabbits. With a woof down one side of the burrow, it echoed throughout the tunnel system giving off a much louder sound then what Noble had actually let out. It seemed like rabbits went scurrying from all different directions. Which outright, was what happened. The burrow that the fluffy cotton tailed had ran from had more than one endpoint, leaving three rabbits splitting dwon different paths. Going after one of the two rabbits that went the same way, Noble picked up his speed before realizing that the particular rabbit would outrun him no matter what. Deciding to flip the tables, he went to one side of the rabbit, who, as expected, turned the way that he hadn’t flanked. Having drawn the two rabbits in the direction of Saffron and the two others, he let them wander off that way, leaving the three wolves their own choice of whether they went after obe of the bunnies or not. As far as that third rabbit went though, he was able to divert his legs from the pull of chasing the other rabbits to pursue the single rabbit that was left. Having caught up to it with relative ease compared to the first two rabbits he had attempted to grab, he closed his maw around the body of this unlucky hare, its body falling limp almost instantly. Making his way back over to where McKenna, Harriet, and his childhood friend stood in a little congregation of sorts, he returned McKenna’s kind gesture, giving the rabbit he had freshly caught to the male with a quiet word of thanks. Settling back beside Zuko, he wagged his tail before speaking, “You all did great, this was quite fun,” laughing a little bit about Harriet’s mouthful of fur before digging into his own rabbit that his friend had graced him with. Oakley was filled with energy after his recent slumber. He woke up especially early to watch the stunning sunrise that painted the sky in reds, oranges and yellows. He was walking through the tall rocks nearing the cliff when he heard voices. In an instant, he began heading in the general direction of the voices, not too quick enough to startle anyone, but not slow as to appear hesitant. With his head up high, the young pup appeared in front of the large group of rogues. His golden eyes skimmed each wolf, some appeared to be around his age, some yearlings and some older. The air around them didn't seem tense, quite the opposite, actually. Talking about air, he could smell fresh blood. His ears quickly flattened against his head, maybe these wolves weren't friendly after all. His eyes scanned every wolf again, checking for any wounds. When he didn't see any visible injuries, his eyes fell to the floor. There lay a few dead hares. That's where the blood came from! Oakley breathed out in relief, his ears instantly relaxed, and so did his posture. It seemed as though these rogues just hunted themselves a meal. Tasty!
He decided now was the time to introduce himself to these rogues. Hopefully, a few would join him in his travels. He took a few steps closer to the group before relaxing his posture, clearing his throat and raising his head high, just like his father taught him. "Greetings everyone! My name is Oakley!" He paused for any responses from the others. He didn't want to sound childish or immature, so he decided to deepen his voice slightly. "I am currently on a search for a new home, I would appreciate some company on my travels." For the time being he decided to leave out the fact that he was the son of an Alpha or that he was wanting to create his own pack, just in case these wolves decided to treat him like royalty or something. Surprisingly, he didn't enjoy that. He paused again, waiting for a response.

The energy of this cliffside company was quickly stirring itself into a bombardment of youthful adrenaline. Maeve resonated with the wolf skating along the rocky flat, the weary sway in her tone a comforting contrast to the constant chimes coming from the young wolves. Maeve checked Serana's expression for the same comfort but she found it one of the young hybrids instead. Against her own intuition her legs dragged a low-swinging body to his settled posture. Maeve didn't like irony but it punched her in the face when he suddenly zipped towards a rabbit nearing the horizon. Her chest coiled as he flew by, missing an opportunity to introduce herself but suddenly feeling what everyone was on about. She didn't have any incentive to eat, no hunger stirring up her blood, but she couldn't fight her own DNA. Across her smooth speckled coat the hairs spiked, a small but promising chill tickled her lower back and yanked her nose out of the ground to retrieve the smell of live game. Following the hybrid and his friend, Maeve darted to take down one of the strays that veered towards the bluff, forgetting the game as she surrendered to it completely. She delivered a bite with a stony growl, the rumble of satisfied breath vibrating through the sides of her maw when her teeth met the soft flesh of a tiny but proud kill. As her adrenaline settled, dispersing evenly through her muscles to slowly end the rampant coup of her nervous system, she found paws where her eyes sharpened. Her head shot up in surprise. Becoming familiar with her environment again revealed the inspiring visage of Serana to appear before her practically out of nowhere. In a moment of weakness she released her grip and a rabbit-sized thud against the ground confirmed the state she was in. "Well I guess this is for you," she wrapped up her words in a whispered tone, out of breath for two reasons, one of which she could save herself from admitting upon the arrival of yet another kid. Assessing the intention of his comment, Maeve remembered why she had been desperate to meet the cliffside on this particular day. It would be the last for a few weeks before the fall to winter weather overtook the tides, crumbled the earth and shaved off the bluff. Looking over the horizon she could see the dark haze of a storm slowly but surely making its way to the shore. "You may need some," Maeve began, her eyes stills surveying the atmosphere with hawk-like focus. "We should head inland before the weather turns." Finally, her gaze settled on the numerous bodies populating the landscape, realizing how effortlessly the word "we" fell out of her inclination to seek shelter. A bunch of kids chasing rabbits wasn't the kind of company she pictured herself feeling safe with, or maybe it was the dash of hope that Serana would come along that made it so easy for Maeve to commit to such a journey. @saffron, Harriet, McKenna,@noble, Zuko, Oakley, Serana

The younger male that he had dropped the rabbit off to hadn't quite picked it up yet, but that was okay! His buddy was still grabbing even more rabbits, so he probably just wasn't hungry yet. Cranberry eyes flicked between the last few hunters as they gathered up their kills. His jaw fell open with surprise as the other wolfdog dropped a rabbit before him, murmured words of thanks met with a quick babble of gratitude of his own. He was right about these wolves! They really were just like him! So kind, and nice, and friendly, and cared for each other even though they were just strangers (he assumed). Just then, yet another face popped up, this one just as young as the two he was sharing rabbits with. Where were all of these pups coming from? Did they not have a home to go back to? A mom or dad to keep them warm and safe in the upcoming winter? McKenna sure hoped so. This newest face introduced himself as Oakley, and his proclamation of an adventure piqued McKenna's interest greatly. The pale-nosed male quickly ripped off a leg from the rabbit so generously given to him while listening, the fresh meat sliding easily down his maw. McKenna was on an adventure of his own - to find out everything he can about the world - and maybe this Oakley would be good company! At the very least, the chocolate male knew he could help keep the younger one safe if he accompanied him. The voice of a she-wolf whose name he had completely missed caught him by surprise, snapping him out of his thoughts. Her directions for the budding group to head inland came at the perfect time. Blustery puffs of wind that had previously been ignored in his excitement to meet all these new wolves finally began to sting with the chill of the late season. Nodding his agreement with the she-wolf, he turned his attention back to Oakley, swallowing another morsel of rabbit quickly. "I'll come with you! I've been searching for a new home too!" the eager male barked, tail wagging behind his sat rump with excitement. It had been a long time since he had any company, and this could the real new start of his next chapter! -Exit to: Untouched Forest- @saffron , Harriet , @noble , Zuko , Oakley , Maeve , Serana

All of the wolves seemed to be talking about heading their own ways now that they were all full and had caught sight of a storm. Shelter would definitely need to be found and occupied soon, especially with how fast the sky was darkening, with a slight sprinkle of rain falling from the even darker clouds. With a quick glance to Zuko, Noble stood, licking the away the blood from his maw that the rain didn’t already wash off. With a very small and short wag of his tail, the ombre blue-brown eyes of the young wolfdog flicked to no one in particular, but still yet everyone in but a moment of time. “Well, there seems to be some tree covering over that way…We could go there.” He tilted his head in the general direction of where the forest lay, the one that was spoken to have been graced from the many fires that happened before he was born. The wet, and now light grey canine couldn’t really tell anyone what to do, but he supposed that was heads up enough for them to get at least a bit of a direction. Anyone was welcome to join them in their journey to that forest, but there wouldn’t be much time for them to wait to start that trek. The sun had risen up into the dark clouds growing above the horizon and the breeze was getting colder. The splash of the waves against the red cliffside even made her wince when not long ago she was cozying up by its edge. Then she met Maeve and the younger wolves that piled in soon after. It would have been the day she hoped for if the winds weren't coming straight for the coast, and upon realizing she'd have to give up the wistful fantasy of her first time ever seeing the ocean, she let her glistening smile drop from her maw. Maeve offered a small remedy to her drowning spirits, though. "How thoughtful of you," Serana replied, somewhat teasing. She kept Maeve's words in her head as she enjoyed her furry gift to the bone, leaving enough to offer her friend later when they inevitably hit the road. Maeve was right about the storm, her words justifying the dread uncovering on Serana's face while her vision coincided with one of the wolfdog's observations. She'd come out of that forest not long ago, and she had to convince herself she wasn't turning back. It's a detour. She thought hopefully. "Here," Serana chirped, offering the rest of her rabbit to Maeve. "For the road," she smiled. "Hey, I didn't catch everyone's name..." The voices trailed into the distance as the group, and whoever chose to follow, began their journey to the forest. -Exit to the forest- @saffron, Harriet, McKenna,@noble, Zuko, Oakley, Maeve,

After introducing himself, Oakley stood proudly in front of the crowd, waiting for a response to his offer to travel. The first to answer was an older grey she-wolf, "You may need some, we should head inland before the weather turns." She said, to which Oakley nodded, agreeing with the suggestion. Next, a brown male wolf, who seemed slightly older than Oakley responded, "I'll come with you! I've been searching for a new home too!" As he talked, Oakley noticed that the male had a strange features he's never seen before, his nose was bright pink! He thought that was interesting, and Oakley liked being surrounded by interesting individuals. "Well, there seems to be some tree covering over that way…We could go there." Another male voice was heard. Looking over, Oakley saw a pup around his age, with a similar coat. He was already excited, he honestly didn't expect people to answer or even acknowledge him, so when these wolves replied, he was ecstatic! "Perfect! I know the perfect place, it's not too far and will shelter us from the weather!" Oakley yipped, as he swiftly turned his back to the group and started heading down the hill, leading the group behind him. He didn't look back to see if anyone was following, because he was confident that they were. - Exit: Untouched forest - Maeve @noble McKenna Serana Zuko Harriet

| A lot seemed to happen in a short amount of time, and Harriet ended up zoning out, struggling to keep up with everything. Another wolf had joined them, talking about wanting to find a new home, wait, they weren't just going to make this home? Why was everyone leaving? Wait, where were they going?
Harriet desperately tried to grasp hold of the conversation, now completely lost. Apparently they were all going to this forest, hopefully not splitting up. That worried Harriet, she had just met these new friends! She didn't want to leave yet! But Oakley seemed to be making his own group, and Harriet didn't know if she was going to follow. She wanted them all to be together! And she couldn't help the pout that came across her features.
At the very least they were going the same place now. No wolf was leaving just yet. Maybe she was just imagining they were splitting up, and they were actually going to all be together forever! That would be amazing! And with that thought in mind, Harriet pranced after the others.

I walk to the beat of a drum you only dream of hearing Winter was a time haunted by death. Life ground to a halt as freezing temperatures gently brought those not able to go on gently to the border betwixt the realms. The old, whose energy had been sapped by countless winters before, followed death willingly to the other side. The young who did not know better chased the spirits unfortunately early. In winters past, Osiris had sat with many freezing animals, aiding in their delivery. This winter, however, the gods had tasked him with keeping life squarely on the waking side of the divide.
Raisin, the small wolf pup delivered unto him, was his to keep alive until further notice. Where his parents were was a mystery to him. He had meditated on it in their first week together, seeking reassurance that he was not simply kidnapping a beloved family member, but his visions were met with only vacuous space. Raisin was abandoned, but he would never be again.
Black-socked stilts moved methodically through the snow. Each paw fully settled into the light powder before another moved. They had nowhere to be in a hurry. There was no need to rush when the beautiful scenery could be appreciated. "Paths trod by others are more comfortable to follow than forging ahead alone," he mused, head slowly turning to check on Raisin's progress. The pup was tiny compared to the maned wolf, and keeping pace, despite the beast's slow gait, may be difficult. He wouldn't tell Raisin outright that it was easier for him to get through the icey ground cover in his footsteps. The resilient little wolf could take on challenges how he saw fit. Osiris was merely a guardian to ensure he suceeded in whichever avenue he chose. Raisin was the one priority of the maned wolf, and thus he would go at whichever pace suited the pup best.
